No. The HomeOwnership Program can help any individual or family wishing to pursue home ownership. There are no income limits.
The FMHA does have a lease to own program when housing is available. There is no housing available at this time, nor are there any plans to build housing in the near future.
Our HomeOwnership Program is designed to help you become eligible to purchase a house. What loan products you use and what house you purchase will be completely up to you.
Our HomeOwnership Program is designed to create educated and financially fit home buyers. Savings is essential to be a successful home owner.
Emergencies happen even in the best of circumstances and having a safety net is essential. We require individuals and families who enroll in our program to create a monthly spending plan. The spending plan has to show an ability to pay all expenses, including a mortgage, and still have money left over for savings.
Having the ability to save on a regular basis will ensure families and individuals are better prepared for emergencies and less likely to default on their mortgage.
